Pastor Alex showed us how we finish this year matters.
One of the greatest weapons God has given us is praise. Not passive praise, but praise that rises from the depths of our hearts. The Bible calls it a garment because praise doesn’t just lift us emotionally, it covers us, protects us, and repels the spirit of heaviness.
Heaviness can come suddenly, through family situations, finances, fear, or despair. But, God has provided an immediate solution. When we choose praise, God’s authority is released. Scripture shows us that when praise goes up, it establishes heaven’s rule in the room. It shifts atmospheres, silences the enemy, and invites God to fight battles we were never meant to fight ourselves. This is why breakthrough so often follows worship, because the battle belongs to the Lord.
As we close this year, we are reminded: it’s not too late to praise Him. Not when everything feels good, but at all times. When we respond to God’s Word, He responds with His power.
Finish strong. Finish praising. The garment of praise still breaks the spirit of heaviness.
